Full Time Kitchen Team: Commis Chef / Pastry Chef

Part Time Position:  FOH 

 


Commis Chef £18,000+ pa

A fantastic opportunity to join a young innovative team.

As Commis Chef you will be creative with good plate presentations skills and cook everything from local fresh ingredients, be responsible & ambitious.

Emphasis on preparation and delivery maintaining consistently high standards. To support the head chef in the operational running of the kitchen and on events in regard the food hygiene and health and safety. To bring to the business new ideas on menus and service.

In the role of Commis Chef, we are looking for:

  • An experienced competent Commis Chef looking to progress.
  • The ability to deliver well presented, high quality fresh food and cope under pressure.
  • Be hands on and lead by example.
  • Have a good base knowledge of all kitchen sections primarily larder and sauce.
  • Passionate and able to work on their own initiative.
  • The drive and enthusiasm to test new ideas.
  • The role of Commis Chef is offering a salary of around £18,000 per annum. Negotiable on experience.

Required experience:  2 years’ experience in a similar kitchen

Candidates must have a steady work history with the ability to carry out their duties unsupervised. You will be highly motivated and self-driven with a proven ability to work well within a team.

This is a full-time position of minimum 45 hours per week (5 days per week inc weekends)

Salary negotiable dependent on experience. Start date as soon as possible. Accommodation available to assist in relocation if required.

Pastry Chef  Salary negotiable

We are looking for a Pastry Chef to join The Haughmond.  A fantastic opportunity to join a young innovative team.

As Pastry Chef your key responsibility will be to prepare all pastry section for the 2 AA Rosette Award Winning Fine Dining Restaurant.  The role will require a trustworthy and self motivated individual with great discipline and a true passion for food.

Emphasis on preparation and delivery maintaining consistently high standards. To support the head chef in the operational running of the kitchen and on events in regard the food hygiene and health and safety. To bring to the business new ideas on menus and service.

Basic Job Description ·

  • As Pastry Chef your key responsibility will be to prepare all pastry section for the 2 AA Rosette Award Winning Fine Dining Restaurant. 
  • The role will require a trustworthy and self motivated individual with great discipline and a true passion for food.
  • Assisting the Head Chef with day to day jobs will be expected, along with maintaining the section in their absence.
  • Willing to work with new recipes, and also contributing to any ideas spread across the section.

Candidates must have a steady work history with the ability to carry out their duties unsupervised. You will be highly motivated and self driven with a proven ability to work well within a team.

Part Time Front of House Bar / Waiting on

We are currently recruiting for a part time 14-20 hours per week for our busy Country pub.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to who wants to be part of a young team in a well established business.

You will be responsible for running up to 4 lunch services Tuesday to Friday alongside full time staff, plus working at least one evening per week.

Essential Experience/Qualifications;

  • Experience of working in a busy restaurant and bar
  • Some cellar management experience
  • Interest in wine/sommelier skills
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation of self
  • Ability to work under pressure in a customer facing environment
